Abstract

This study deals with the possible infectious diseases that afflicted the population of the Levant during the Neolithic period, where social and environmental transformations took place that radically changed the lifestyle of the population, and this was reflected in the health and pathological state of the farming population. The study discusses infectious diseases by focusing on four factors: stability, population density, animal domestication, and environmental change associated with agricultural practices.
